As reported by Green Car Congress, German automaker Audi and Belgian materials and recycling company Umicore have successfully finished phase one of their strategic research cooperation for battery recycling, aimed at creating a “closed loop” lithium-ion battery recycling program for the electric vehicle and energy storage industries.
